OUR MINISTRIES
At Harrington Charge, we offer three unique churches with distinct personalities to choose from. Our ministries are designed to help you find your spiritual home and connect with others in your community. We offer a variety of programs and services, including Bible studies, prayer groups, and community outreach. Our goal is to help you grow in your faith and strengthen your relationship with God. Kid's Ministry
At Harrington Charge, we believe in nurturing the spiritual growth of our youngest members. Our kid's ministry is designed to provide a safe and fun environment where children can learn about God's love and develop their faith. We offer Sunday school classes, vacation Bible school, and special events throughout the year. Join us as we invest in the next generation and help children discover the joy of following Jesus. Sunday School times are offered at two of our churches.
Prospect Church - during worship time (8:45am) after the Children's Message
Asbury Church - 10 am-11 am.
Marriage Preparation
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh (Genesis 2).
At Harrington Charge, we believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman and God. Our marriage preparation program is designed to help engaged couples build a strong foundation for their future together. We offer premarital counseling, marriage enrichment classes, and resources for building a healthy and loving relationship. Join us as we celebrate the gift of marriage and support couples in their journey together.
Backpack Ministry
At Harrington Charge, we believe that the life of of our youth is a time of exploration and growth, both academically and spiritually. Our backpack ministry is designed to provide food for those children whose families may be struggling throughout the school year. We provide snacks for the children to take home after school and meals for the weekends if needed. Join us as we support and encourage the next generation of Community and Christian leaders.
Men's Ministry
At Harrington Charge, we believe in the power of men to transform themselves, their families, communities, and the world. Our men's ministry is designed to provide a supportive and empowering community where men can grow in their faith and develop their leadership skills. We offer mentoring opportunities to help men connect with God and one another. Join us as we celebrate the unique gifts and contributions of men in our church and beyond. One of our greatest commitments is our annual Venison/ham dinner held in February to raise monies to send children to Camp Pecometh during the Summer.
Pastoral Support
At Harrington Charge, we believe that pastoral care is an essential part of our ministry. Our pastor is available to provide spiritual guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance to those in need. Whether you are facing a crisis, struggling with a personal issue, or simply need someone to talk to, our pastor is here for you. Join us as we journey together through life's ups and downs. Pastor Mark is available Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm for general appointments. 24 hrs. every day for emergencies. He can be reached at 302-242-6868.
Volunteer Groups
At Harrington Charge, we believe that serving others is a vital expression of our faith. Our volunteer groups provide opportunities to make a difference in our church, our community and the world. From feeding the hungry to supporting local schools, we offer a wide variety of service projects to suit your interests and the talents God has given you. Join us as we put our faith into action and make a positive impact in the lives of others. Clothes Closet Ministry
At Prospect UMC we offer a Clothes Closet Ministry to help folks in need of new and slightly used clothing for all ages and sizes. We are open the first Saturday of each month from 9am - Noon. If you need more information, would like to volunteer your time or provide clothing, please contact Lorraine @ 302-381-4884.
